It’s hard for me to believe that Brooklyn-based synth pop group St. Lucia has been soundtracking my life for over a decade now. They dropped Utopia Remixed last Friday - a collection of 8 remixes from their fourth studio album Utopia including remixes from The Knocks, Bay Ledges and more. It was a real treat to chat with Jean-Philip Grobler from St. Lucia on the latest episode of Carefully Curated. We talked about the art of remixes, summer playlists & the upcoming 10th anniversary of their debut album When The Night (which still sounds timeless to my ears!)

June 2023: Top 13 Songs

I wasn’t able to write as much about this chart as I had hoped, but July is almost over and I needed to get this out! Bully’s latest record Days Move Slow has been on repeat since it was released June 2nd. “How Will I Know”, a deep cut from the record & not a Whitney Houston cover, tops the chart. Heavenward, Militarie Gun, Jenny Lewis & Queens of the Stone Age released great albums last month that are worthy of your attention. Ollie Wride, Samantha Urbani, Slowdive, Annie Hart & Becca Mancari made grand returns with fantastic singles. Rounding out the chart are great songs from Worriers, Ratboys & Miracle Worker.
