Unfortunately I have to start today’s newsletter with a bit of bad news. I’ve made a very tough decision to end my Carefully Curated podcast. Life has become busier than ever, and on top of that, the platform I was using to host the podcast is no longer supporting songs being played during the show which was half of the concept. So I felt like the universe was telling me to stop. I won’t rule out interviews in the future if the opportunities present themselves but for now, it is what it is. The show was one of the most fulfilling things I’ve ever done. I was very lucky to talk to some of my all time favorite artists and for that I will forever be grateful. The episodes will remain on Spotify so if you missed any of them, give them a listen here.
The good news is my playlists will continue. And I will attempt to continue this newsletter from time to time. I guess there is less pressure for me to get these things out without an interview attached.

The 2024 playlist now has over 600 songs & counting! I’ve almost narrowed down 50 of my absolute favorite songs of the year so far & that playlist will be coming soon. Until then, dig in and shuffle:
We’re a few weeks away from it officially being summer but it always feels like summer begins after Memorial Day. So of course, this years “Summer Rotation.” playlist is already here! Each year I carefully curate a playlist of songs new & old with only 1 song per artist.
I’ve included new songs from some of my favorite records of 2024 including Dehd, Lizzie No, Cloud Nothings, Lo Moon, & Restorations to name a few. I’ve also featured some excellent new singles from St. Lucia, SASAMI, Essy, Magdalena Bay, PRONOUN, Wishy & more. There’s also classic tunes sprinkled in by Thin Lizzy, Superdrag, Dwight Yoakam, Morcheeba, Blood Orange, Weezer & many more. I’ll occasionally add more songs for the next few months so be sure to give it a like & follow along!
…and if you feel like digging deeper & want a much bigger playlist to throw on shuffle this summer (lets say 800+ songs) then I got you. I’ve been adding songs to this one since 2011 👇
